First Thoughts
Just a girly dreaming…
…and experimenting, art wise…

I want you to have fun here! ✨
I have finally made a blog on my website where I can express my general thoughts on all things webcomics, anime, manga, books, movies and more! I can also post gossipy pop culture opinions because I find writing it so much easier than making a tiktok.
Yes, I did say that! I’m just not a tiktok short form video type girlie. I’ve tried but I find it so tedious. Long form is just easier for me and much more fun, ironically enough. But aside from the ease of writing, it’s also a much needed relief of expression.
All my friends unfortunately do not live anywhere near me and since we all work odd hours, it’s hard to find someone I can unload and be silly around at the same time as me.
Unfortunately, living alone miles away from family and friends has its downside and I have been lonely, so this is my attempt to express myself until the next time I can visit my peoples in person. Or finally afford another dog who’s medical bills I don’t have to worry about paying for.
Not to mention, I’ve been wanting to make a blog for a while. Back when I was in high school and the internet was really starting to grow into its own (it was the 2010’s calm down), I was obsessed with my favorite author’s blog posts.
I would religiously follow Lauren Willig’s, author of the romance historical History of the Pink Carnation book series. If you know, you know 😏 Seriously, every post was so fun even if it didn’t have anything scandalous. It was just cool gaining insight into the thoughts of my fave people. I would also follow Kelley Armstrong, author of supernatural YA The Summoning series, L.J. Smith, author of the Vampire Diaries book series, Stephenie Meyer, author of the Twilight series, and even now, I like to follow George R.R. Martin’s blog posts for any news related to his personal life and his A Song of Ice and Fire series, aka Game of Thrones.
He can take his time with the Winds of Winter, I’m just excited to know his previous works exist. Seriously, I was not a medieval fantasy person. When friends of mine would play dungeons and dragons, my eyes would glaze over because of the lack of linear narrative storytelling. Like, the concepts were cool and people’s characters were always so interesting, but story wise, I was checked out. My narrative preference is less play by ear and more planned. Which is boring for some and that’s fine. But the realistic immersion of Game of Thrones, the books, not the TV show since the showrunners D&D clearly hated anything magical (but that’s a topic for another time) made me appreciate the genre of medieval fantasy and I gotta say, I’m a fan now.
Point is, blogs are fun to me and I hope to make them fun for you too.
I also plan to make them friendly for audio listeners and since I invested in a nifty microphone with decent audio, figured I would try my hand at podfics, or in this case, pod blogs? Aren’t they kind of the same thing? Idk, point is, I hope you enjoy my soft audible and visual voice.
So this is it for now, you sparkling individuals! More later!
Cheers! 👋
